Like all pure creatures-cats are practical creatures. Here are a couple of pointers from a fellow cat – appointed – servant trainee (CAST) :
The need food, good food. If they had their way they would eat carbs the whole day. If you want to be the responsible CAST you need to feed them a balanced diet with loads of animal protein. Cats are carnivores, they do not need plant based carbs – which is the main ingredient in most cat food unfortunately. And because cats are ironic creatures they prefer plant based carbs…..
Pointer number two – cats are ferocious gift givers. They hunt down small creatures to give as gifts – so if your cat feels like rewarding their CAST they will endow on them a grizzly gift – which you must accept and hopefully find in time before it becomes a buzzing heap of worms. in their quest they do come in contact with many villains – it might be the next door rabbit, chicken or spider so please appreciate your gift that was perfectly picked especially for you. Unseen villains that you should take care of include ticks and fleas, which will allow them to give back to you.
Pointer number three – cats can live up to 15 years plus. in order for them to live this long, they should remain as healthy as possible. Certain diseases that they get can be prevented by VACCINATIONS! Talking about vaccinations – according to South African law all cats must be vaccinated against rabies. One thing I hope nobody ever has to witness is a rabid ginger cat!
